If you're buying or selling a home with a private water supply, a Well inspection and water test can help insure wells comply with Administrative Code and water is safe to drink.
Well inspections and safe water tests are exactly as they seems. They are a review of the well's pressure system and a laboratory analysis of the product (water). The goal of this inspection is to help ensure that the pressure system is functional, and the water is safe and sanitary for consumption.
During an inspection, our licensed team will perform a visual review of the pressure system. If we find that violations exist or there is a health and safety risk, we will make recommendations and quote out services to get the system safe and complying with administrative code.
For the water test, water samples are taken from the well and sent to a DNR Licensed analytics laboratory. With a standard water sample, they are tested for Bacteria (including Coliform and E. Coli), Arsenic, and Nitrates. We also can test for lead, if required.
